How I Became a Versatile Performance Artist

     Nothing compares to the magical thrill of going on stage and being one with you audience - it's an incredibly powerful platform that can provoke so many feelings but we all want you to become immersed and forget the madness of the world, which is exactly what I aim to do each time I perform. 

     I studied Musical Theatre and quickly found other areas of the arts gave me much more artistic freedom but it took me years to fully step into the independent circuit.

     In December 2021 I ventured into my very first Burlesque Show, then in January 2022 I decided to take the plunge into Drag by entering Yshees Bastard Drag Competition and have made an incredible success of both (with Mama Tasty becoming busier then Kirsty in 2024). In May 2022 I was offered a residency curating a Cabaret show at a big Birmingham venue which I ran until January 2024 where i was able to take both shows to Manchester and Ibiza for a 6 week stint (a total of 80 shows during my time there) booking and working with Internationally renowned performers and creating diversity where there hadn't been any. I run weekly Open Mics offering paid featured slots to attendees with an aim to change the open mic scene for the better and my own Solo Shows as me, Kirsty. In November 2022 I met my partner, Ryan Sloan who I now have a fabulous Harmonic Acoustic Duo with and play locally and nationally.
